Ghanaian defender Daniel Opare has expressed his desire to play competitive football again after joining Zulte Waregem on Friday.
Opare penned a two-year deal with the club as a free agent after his contract with Royal Antwerp expired at the end of last season.
The 29-year-old is expected to use his huge experience to help the club fight for a top-four position after they finished this season in ninth position.
"I played against Zulte Waregem a few times and it is a strong team with a lot of ambition. In addition, the great support from the supporters is added. I can't wait to start the season!" Opare told Essevee TV.
Opare becomes the second Ghanaian player to play for Zulte Waregem after Gideon Mensah who featured on loan for them this season from Red Bull Salzburg.
He also becomes the West Flanders-based outfit first signing ahead of the forthcoming European transfer window.
