Bankroller of Techiman City FC and Management Committee member of Ghana’s U23 side, The Black Meteors, Kwadwo Ntim Micky Charles has disclosed that he did not travel outside the country on the ticket of the Football Association as has been reported in the Ghanaian media.

Reports in the local media had it that Micky Charles had travelled out to meet clubs of the foreign based players who form part of the Black Meteors squad for the All African Games qualifiers, but the former GBC sports journalist has insisted that he went on a business trip but only attended to the call to duty when it became necessary.

Speaking exclusively to Sportscrusader.com, Micky Charles said, “I was in Doha for a business trip before moving to Europe. Since I was in Europe, my vice chairman gave me the power to expedite action on the foreign based players’ itinerary and documentation”.

“So I was greatly surprised when I heard that the FA had sent me to Europe to scout for players and meet their clubs. That is absolutely false. I am not a coach to do that. Besides, we don’t need to appear here physically before we invite players”, he added.
