Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh has revealed that he did not feel he was a part of Kotoko's 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League title-winning side.
In an interview with GhanaWeb, Keyekeh labelled his time at Kotoko as the most difficult spell he has had in his career thus far.
He attributed his struggles to a series of injuries which cost him his place in the team.
The two-time Ghana Premier League winner said that due to a lack of game time and injuries, he failed to credit himself with the GPL at Kotoko because he did not feel part of the team that won it.
Emmanuel Keyekeh joined Kotoko in 2020 after an astonishing spell with Karela United.
The central midfielder spent two seasons with the Reds, winning the GPL in 2022 before securing a move to the then-newly promoted side Samartex.
He won yet another GPL trophy with Samartex in his second season with the Timber Giants while being named the Player of the Year.
Keyekeh is said to have signed a three-year deal with Tanzanian Premier League side Singida Black Stars after departing Samartex.
