Winger, Joseph Paintsil
Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil has disclosed that he is not under pressure to excel at LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer (MLS).
Paintsil who joined the MLS (WHEN) has scored five goals and provided four assists in 14 matches.
Despite the high expectations from fans and the attention surrounding his move, Paintsil remains composed and focused, aiming to contribute effectively to LA Galaxy's success.
In an interview with the MLS, the winger said, "I don’t feel pressure. I have such fantastic players around me, so I don’t feel any pressure. The more I put pressure on myself, the more it becomes difficult for me. So I am calm and focused.”
According to the player, he got the information about the interest from LA Galaxy when he was at the 2023 AFCON.
“When the news came, I was at the AFCON with the national team. I thought it was a great team and a great call for me. I was like, we will see, but in my mind, I knew that’s where I wanted to go,” Paintsil told MLS.
The five-time MLS champions secured the services of the talented Black Stars forward from Belgian giants KRC Genk in February.
