Renowned coach Jose Mourinho has criticised Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for his conduct on the pitch.
Mourinho acknowledged that Osimhen, alongside Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah, has established himself as one of the top African footballers in the world due to his impressive performances as a striker.
However, Mourinho expressed his disapproval of Osimhen's tendency to dive during crucial moments in games, which he believes is detrimental to the player's reputation.
The Fenerbahçe SK coach advised Osimhen to change his behavior if he wants to continue thriving in his football career.
"He is a fantastic player, but I don't like the way he behaves, he dives too much. I told him, 'You and Mo Salah are the best African players. In the past, it was Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto'o, and George Weah. You cannot behave like this.' He dives too much," Mourinho said, as shared on X.
Following the collapse of Osimhen's move to Chelsea, he has joined Turkish side Galatasaray on loan, with his wages covered.
The player hopes to secure a move to Chelsea or another top European club, as he considers his time with Napoli over.
