Former Deputy CEO of Tema Youth Henry Asante Twum has finally broken the silence over his resignation as Deputy CEO of the Harbour Warriors.

The highly ambitious Sports journalist resigned from the club on Monday after eight years of selfless service.

Tema Youth got relegated at the end of last season and will compete in the Division One League which gets underway on November 9.

In an interview with XYZ Sports Henry Asante Twum says he felt disrespected and unwanted by the hierarchy of the club.

“I have been working for this team selflessly for the past eight years without rest” Henry told XYZ Sports.

“The only time I am showed respect is when Palmer (the President) wants me to represent him either in a meeting or when my expertise are needed” he added

“For three years I haven’t received a penny from the club and even when I got problems this year nobody came to my aid”

“Last month I nearly became blind as I got an infection with my left eye, ask me who paid attention to my plight”

Tema Youth contributed four players to the Black Satellites squad that played at the FIFA under 20 World Cup in Turkey and have since transferred Francis Narh, Joshua Oninku and Kofi Mensah to Club Africain and Ebusua Dwarfs respectively

“As far as I am concerned nobody has disclosed to me how much Oninku and Mensah were sold for. That is not my money but I deserve to know as a CEO of the club”

“There is no transparency, no proper accountability, and no truthfulness from my other colleagues”

“I have worked all these years without anything to show”

“I feel so much unwanted and really believe that it is time to move on. I took this decision with a very heavy heart but that is the best I can do”

“I want to concentrate on my journalism career and do the best for my life”

Henry Asante Twum has been with the Tema Youth since 2005 and rose through the ranks to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer position.

The 2008 most promising Sports journalist has worked through thick and thin to get the team to its present position.

He got promoted in February 2012 as Deputy CEO after working as Communications Director for four years.
