Renowned investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas insists he gave an opportunity to the Ghana Football Association to respond to his undercover video released on the rots in Ghana Football however the latter declined.
According to the Journalist, officials of the Football Association refused to respond to the video which further questioned their commitment as Football people.
Anas was responding to critics who claimed he entrapped officials of the Football Association to get involved in the scandalous acts.
“Certainly yes, we wrote letters of reply, took it to the GFA, they threw us out, threw the letters to the floor and we left. So yes they did refuse to respond,” he said on Joy FM.
“I have no regret going to the president, I have no regret going to the vice president, I have no regret speaking to the ministers involved in finding their side of the story because that is journalistic and ethical and that is what you must always do. And if I get this story again, I’ll go back and speak to them because their side also matter,” he said.
Some members of the Football Association have been asked to step aside until further notice.
Kwesi Nyantakyi who was the center of controversy in the video has also vacated his post as President of the Ghana Football Association.
