Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah insists he has a united Black Stars team ahead of their opening 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Uganda.

There have been rife rumours of splits in the Black Stars since their disappointing showing at the 2014 World Cup.

Ghana failed to the first time to make it past the group stage at the finals staged in Brazil – failing to win even a single game.

Their below par performance has led to a massive backlash from the Ghanaian fans who have threatened to withdraw their support for the team until they begin to show they deserve it.

Others have also expressed concerns over the unity in the Ghana camp, suggesting minor rifts in the Black Stars camp.

But coach Kwesi Appiah says he has always operated a united camp since making the step up as coach of the side.

“For me since I took over, from what I have experienced, the team has been great,”

“Anytime we have problems with players we make sure we solve it and do it in our own way.

“From what I have seen so far since the players reported to camp, there is unity amongst us and I believe it is going to continue.

“I am praying for us not to have situations that will give us problems.”
