Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively confirm that Ashanti Gold SC trainer Bashir Hayford has applied for the Black Stars vacant job.
This confirmation brings the number of local coaches who have indicated their desire to handle the Black Stars to three. Former coach Kwesi Appiah and Abdul Razkak had earlier submitted their applications.
Confirming the news to sportsworldghana.com this afternoon, the experienced local brain said “Yes I have applied for the vacant position and I believe I have what it takes to manage the Stars. Some of these players passed through my tutelage hence there will be no difficult handling them”
The Black Stars coaching became vacant after Ghana Football Association parted ways with Polish-Israeli coach Avram Grant in January. Hayford’s application adds up to the over 70 applicants already received by the football authority
