Ghana FA Executive Committee member and Club President of Tema Youth Football Club, Mr. Wilfred Osei Palmer has debunk rumours of a rift between himself and fellow ExCo member, Mr. Kurt Okraku, the Club President of newly promoted Premier League side Dreams FC.
Mr. Palmer is currently challenging the promotion of Dreams FC at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) over the use of an unqualified player in their GN Bank Division One League last season.
But according to the Tema Youth FC Club President, despite the differences between himself and Mr. Kurt Okraku regarding the above mentioned case, he still does not have problems with the Dreams FC President on the personal level.
“It is never right that I don’t greet him [Kurt Okraku]. I greet him. its just an impression created by people”, Mr. Osei Palmer told Accra based Happy FM.
”We are both football people. Everyone will tell you I am a sports person and so anytime you play with me, I will exhibit competitiveness on the field of play. but after the game we bury all the differences and move on.
“I did not understand certain things [in relation to Dreams FC’s promotion] and thats how come I decided to take a legal course. Let the law take its due course rather than personalize things” He added.
Mr. Palmer revealed that he has met with Kurt Okraku on several occasions and have exchanged greetings with him adding that football legal issues can not sour the personal relationship he has with any person.
