The leader of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), Alan Kyerematen, has pledged to empower the private sector to invest in sports to enhance its development.

He highlighted that a significant obstacle to progress in the sports sector is the lack of investors willing to finance activities and competitions, which hampers growth.

Kyerematen stated that he plans to engage prominent individuals and institutions in the private sector to invest heavily in sports, benefiting clubs and players.

He also emphasized that investment will focus on renovating and maintaining various sporting infrastructures that have been neglected.

“It is all about the government empowering the private sector to establish sports academies and infrastructure of the highest standard. If a private person is investing, he will do it well and maintain,” Alan said, as shared by JoySports on their X page on August 14, 2024.

Alan is vying for the presidency, facing strong competition from NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, and other political party candidates.

The candidates are outlining their visions for sports should they win the presidential election.
