I'm GHANA Take Title Off Docherty

CHEEKY challenger Kpakpo Allotey last night claimed Scot Craig Docherty only has the Commonwealth super featherweight title on loan.

And the 24-year-old who will be having his first fight in Britain when he steps into the ring at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall tonight said: 'I have come to claim it back for Ghana.

'One day I hope to be world champion and the road to my ambition begins by taking the Commonwealth title.'

Allotey has a wild side and is known to dish out punishment with the illegal use of his head.

The last thing Docherty needs is another blood-soaked drama similar to his last defence of the title against Abdul Malik Jabir.

But the challenger is supremely confident.

He said: 'I can do more than Docherty can in the ring.

'I am an all- round boxer and I am also a man with a mission.

'I am not Abdul Malik Jabir. I am a different man and I come from a different category as a fighter.

'Docherty was brave to fight on for 12 rounds after being so badly cut in the opening seconds of his fight with Jabir.

'But nobody should blink when I get into the ring at the Kelvin Hall, otherwise they will miss seeing the new Commonwealth champion.'

Docherty came in at two ounces inside the 9st 4lbs limit at yesterday's weigh-in while Allotey was four ounces lighter.

Meanwhile, former middleweight champion Lawrence Murphy wants a rematch with the man who took his title, Anthony Farnell.

Murphy is expected to be given the green light to resume training after a six-week break following the third-round
