Ghana winger Ernest Nuamah expressed his relief and joy after scoring his first goal of the season in Olympique Lyon's thrilling 3-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on December 13, 2024.
Nuamah's decisive strike in the 54th minute secured the win for Lyon.
Despite struggling for playing time this season with only seven starts, Nuamah remains optimistic that his performance will earn him more opportunities on the field.
He reflected on his journey, saying, “I was out at the beginning of the season, then I came back into the squad. I’m so happy and proud to score my first goal and hopefully more will follow. I needed this so much and I have been working hard for this."
Nuamah's transfer to Fulham fell through on deadline day, and he has been linked with a potential move to the Premier League in the upcoming January2025 transfer window.
His recent goal may bolster his chances of securing a more prominent role in the team.
