Former board chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Emmanuel Commodore Mensah, has revealed to Starr Sports he predicted the success of Hearts trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
Yatsuhashi came under intense criticism following the team’s unimpressive run in their preseason exercise after they recorded just two wins in their preseason matches.
This resulted in many of the team’s supporters calling for the exit of the Japanese-American.
But the resigned board member had total trust in the coach after winning two out of two games in the ongoing Ghana league.
“My first encounter with the coach on the board, he left me in no doubt, I was ready to invest my hope and trust in him till I resigned.
"The roles of coaches in clubs are very important and they can’t succeed without the support from the playing body, management and maybe mother luck, with these three things he will deliver”, he told Starr Sports.
