Bankroller of second tier side Tema Youth FC, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has denied claims that he rejected nomination to serve on the five member Division One League Committee that will advise the Ghana Football Association on how to restructure the league.
The Ghana Football Association recently declared its intention to play a National Division One League by reducing the participating teams from 48 to an 18 club league.
The GFA has announced a five-member committee composed of three club members and two from the association will advise the GFA on the way forward with the proposed project.
Earlier report suggested that, Palmer who was nominated to represent Zone Three on the committee rejected it.
But in an interview with Kwaku Sarpong Sarkodie of Bryt FM, he denied such claims, saying it is null and void.
“It is never true that I rejected nomination from Zone 3. In fact nobody has nominated me. You can ask from the zone if they indeed nominated me” he said.
