TP Mazembe coach Patrice Carteron wants to sign more Ghanaian players following the exploits of the quintet in their CAF Champions League triumph.
The Congolese giants boast of five Ghanaian in their ranks – Yaw Frimpong, Richard Kissi Boateng, Gladson Awako, Solomon Asante and Daniel Nii Adjei and the quintet contributed immensely to their impressive campaign this year.
And French coach Patrice Carteron, 45, has revealed his desire to sign more talented Ghanaian players.
‘Ghana has some great talents, I have Asante, Adjei, Kissi, Yaw Frimpong and Awako and still ready to bring in more Ghanaian players,’ he told reporters.
‘We already have someone here in Ghana monitoring players for us, so I will look at any player he recommends to the team.’
Carteron guided his side to win the 2015 Mo Ibrahim Governance Cup title after defeating Ghana’s Dream Team 3-1 in Accra.
