Mariano Barreto says he will jump at an opportunity to coach the Black Stars again.
The Portuguese coach infamously quit his job as coach of Ghana just seven months into the job.
The Ghana job was Barretos first major crack at international level since going into coaching.
But the 58-year-old stunned Ghanaians with his decision to quit just when he was guiding the nation to their first ever qualification to the World Cup back in 2004.
Despite moving on to coach sides like Maritimo, Al-Nassr, Dynamo Moscow and AEL Limassol, Barreto admits he will very much like to return as coach of the Black Stars in future.
If I receive a call from the Ghana Football Association, I will be in Ghana immediately, he said.
I always remember the good times I had in coaching the Black Stars, and I always felt at home in Ghana because Ghanaians are very nice people.
Mariano Barreto recently worked as coach of Ethiopia but his contract was prematurely terminated over poor performance.
