West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus has set his sights on guiding the club back to European competition after their absence last season.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian, who was a standout performer for the Hammers last season, revealed his ambition to not only secure a European spot but also challenge for a top-six finish in the Premier League.
Kudus, who joined West Ham from Ajax Amsterdam last summer, impressed with his performances both in the Premier League and the Europa League.
He scored an impressive 18 goals and provided seven assists in 48 appearances across all competitions, earning accolades such as Europe’s top dribbler for the 2023/24 season and West Ham’s Goal of the Season award for his stunning 70-yard solo effort against SC Freiburg.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Kudus expressed his determination to build on his previous success.
“Personally, I want to do better than I did last season with numbers and performances,” Kudus told the club’s website.
“But most importantly, I want to help the team get back into Europe and challenge for the top six. That’s my main goal – to help the team achieve those objectives.”
As West Ham prepare for the new campaign, Kudus’ ambition and form will be crucial in their pursuit of a return to European competition and a stronger finish in the Premier League.
