Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward, William Opoku Mensah has disclosed that he has plans to return to teaching in the future.
The former Karela United goal poacher has a degree in Health, Christian Education, and Recreation. During his time with the Anyinase-based club, he was teaching before he earned a transfer to the USA to play for Swope Park Rangers.
Currently one of 3 strikers at Asante Kotoko, Opoku Mensah is having a good time but has revealed that he dreams of continuing his teaching career one day.
"I have not closed my doors to the teaching profession. I have plans to return to the classroom. I cannot tell exactly when but it would happen before I retire from football.
“I enjoy teaching, which is why I was able to combine it with football while at Karela", the striker said in an interview with the Kotoko Express App.
Opoku Mensah has 2 goals for Kotoko this season and made 8 appearances befor the football season was put on hold as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Covid-19 disease.
