Asante Kotoko midfielder Mudasiru Salifu says he will happily hand over his favourite number-three jersey to Asamoah Gyan should the Ghanaian legend decide to sign for the Porcupine Warriors.
The midfielder told Kotoko Express App that he will happily relinquish his jersey to Ghana's all time top scorer without anybody’s interventions.
The Black Stars General Captain has given notice that he will wear the Porcupines colours before he finally retires from football.
Though he did not give timelines, reports in the media in recent weeks suggest that the move could be close as the player looks to be in the twilight of his career.
“Asamoah Gyan is my senior man and so I will hand him the number-three jersey and won’t even wait for anyone to tell me to do so,” says Mudasiru. “He is the one that all of us will be looking up to, so I will give it to him once he likes it.”
