I will retire from football in 2017 - Herbert Addo

Veteran Ghanaian coach Herbert Addo has given the strongest hint he could retire in the next two years.

The experienced tactician is fed up with ill-treatment meted out to him by his former employers.

The Inter Allies coach is yet to be paid his severance package after being sacked by Hearts few months ago.

The former Aduana Stars coach has revealed he could call time on his coaching career after ending his two-year contract with Ghanaian side Inter Allies.

“I can’t tell but I might be ending it after Inter-Allies, there are lot of so many discouragement for coaches in this country," he told Accra-based Starr FM

“And I have been in so many sad moments that I feel like quitting but I feel I can still give a lot because when I interact with some of my coaches they need a lot from me.

“One think I don’t like is working and not been paid for the work, I have three sets of groups who owe me a lot of money which could have helped me, built mansions, ride in big cars buts still at this age am struggling.

“I don’t know whether they are prepared to pay me or not but before the end of this year I will take my decision."

Addo has coached several clubs in Ghana including giants Kotoko and Hearts as well as Ashantigold.

He has also had several stints with the various national teams.
