I will scout Ghanaian players in Africa - Grant

Coach Avram Grant has revealed he will now be extending his scouting tentacles to Ghanaian players playing in the various leagues on the African continent.

The 60-year-old has dedicated most of his time scouting players for the Black Stars who are predominantly based in Europe.

Grant is one year into his job as coach of the Black Stars.

And with his honeymoon period with the Black Stars long expired, Grant is now expected to have his handiworks imprinted on the Black Stars team which virtually the same side he inherited from his predecessor Kwesi Appiah.

The former Chelsea boss now says he will be casting his scouting net wider to capture Ghanaians players doing well on the African continent.

“Monitoring in Africa is one thing I need to do, I haven’t done that until now and I am not happy about that,” he said at a press conference on Monday.

“There are good players also in Africa and we will monitor them but not only in Africa.”

This move could see players such as Torric Jebrin, Emmanuel Osei Banahene, Augustine Okrah and duo; Kennedy Ashia and Abeiku Ainooson – who just joind Al Hilal in Sudan – the TP Mazembe quartet of Daniel Nii Adjei, Gladson Awako, Yaw Frimpong, Richard Kissi Boateng become major beneficiaries of the extensive scouting system being promised by Avram Grant.
