Bayer Leverkusen defender, Jeremie Frimpong, has revealed that he was a ball boy at Etihad during former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero's iconic title-winning clutch moment in the Premier League on May 13, 2012.
Jeremie made the revelation while comparing the abilities of former Netherlands striker Robin Van Persie and Aguero.
When asked about who he would choose as the best in a clutch moment, Frimpong opted for Aguero and disclosed the experience he had after Aguero's title-winning goal.
The former Manchester City academy graduate recounted that he ran onto the pitch when Aguero scored in the epic 3-2 comeback win over Queens Park Rangers.
"I think you've got to give this one to Aguero. Etihad, the late minute. I was the ball boy at the Etihad, I ran on the pitch," he told Goal.com.
In the said match, Manchester City, who were in a neck-to-neck title race with rivals Manchester United, trailed 2-1 into stoppage time and almost had the trophy slipped away to United, who had already beaten Sunderland.
But two goals in two minutes turned the tie on its head and won City the league on goal difference.
Aguero scored the match-winner in the 94th minute to secure the title. The moment is regarded as the greatest moment in Premier League history.
