Founder and owner of King Faisal, Alhaji Abdul Karim Grusah has declared his position to contest for the vacant Ghana Football Association (GFA) President.

The outspoken football arbiter in what he calls 'friends and cronies' will be the thing of the past in his tenure of office as the President of FA. He believes the application of friends and cryonics in the previous government failed the country as a result led the game into dispute.

This comes following the aftermath of Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative piece which left the football governing body in the country in tatters. Government after the airing of the video decided to take steps to dissolve the Association because of the rots and canker exposed in the video, hindering the development of the game.

Alhaji Grusah in an interview with Takoradi based Skyy FM following Government and FIFA’s agreement to form a normalization Committee has affirmed the pace of electing new President and executives of the FA before their tenure of office elapses on March 30 2019.

Grusah has reiterated his desire to become President of the GFA but says, football management is very simple which does not demand friends and cryonics during operations.

"It's true that I have confirmed my status to vie for the Ghana FA President seat, doing football is very simple with the application of methods," Mr Grusah said

"In my tenure, if chosen to lead Ghana Football, I will bring the glory days of our football, the days that Sekondi Hassacas against Sekondi Eleven Wise supporters have to be at the venue before noon else miss ticket to watch. Running the association will be solely the FA's regulations and not friends and cryonics".

"Manipulations has been soared into our football especially in the part of the West African country", he added.

Alhaji Grusah has been managing football for almost three decades since 1987.
