Ghana FA's Deputy General Secretary in charge of communications Ibrahim Sannie Daara has sharply watered down claims by agent Sofian Soltani that the Ghana FA is close to reaching a deal with North Korea coach Jorn Andersen to replace Avram Grant.
Sofian claimed in a chat with Ghanasoccernet.com that the GFA had engaged his client to take over Avram Grant's job as Ghana head coach.
But Sannie has strongly denied the claims, insisting the GFA has not engaged either the coach or his agent who made the claim.
"It is totally untrue that the GFA has engaged the coach or his agent. We have not talked to any coach. Grant is enjoying total support of the GFA fraternity. Maybe the coach or his agent has been engaging someone outside of the GFA," he said.
Grant has come under intensed public scrutiny after his Black Stars' false start to the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds.
