Iceland Pepsi Deildin league champions Knattspyrnufélagið Valur have emerged as the frontrunners to sign experienced Ghana midfielder, Anthony Annan.
The veteran holding midfielder has been out of contract since January 1, after helping HJK to win the Finnish Veikkausliga.
Various teams in the Scandinavian region have shown great interest in signing the petit midfielder with Valur leading the race. The 2018 Icelandic league winners will be playing in the UEFA Champions League and they want to beef up their midfield with Annan.
Other teams such as Ilves and Rops in Finland, as well as newly-promoted Swedish Allsvenskan side Falkenbergs FF are also after his signature.
