Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player Stephen Oduro has declared his intention to play for city rivals King Faisal in the Glo Premier League.
This was backed by supporters of King Faisal yesterday after they were kicked out of the ongoing MTN FA Cup by lower side Tudu Mighty Jets at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a round of 32 clash.
King Faisal was on the verge of signing the former Real Tamale United player who was released by his parent club Asante Kotoko last year, but the move fell through at that stage.
Oduro told footy-ghana.com that his focus now is to train well, focus and catch the attention of the top hierarchy of King Faisal.
“Yes I am training very well. My aim is to get a club, because if Giggs and co are playing why can’t I play., I still have some years to play active football at the highest level and if given the opportunity, I want to play for King Faisal because I have had talks with them but as at now there is nothing concrete but hopefully we can get something done as soon as possible.”
