Impilo Ghana FC continued with their preparations for the Eastern region division two league with two friendly games played last week in Accra as the team looks to set themselves up for a challenging campaign.

After the commanding 3 ? 1 victory over Adumasa ABN FC last Wednesday, them team took on Accra based third division side Nima Mighty Gorillas a day later and its was a very demanding challenge for the fast improving Impilo Ghana FC team.

They took a heavy toll from the game a day earlier as they found it difficult going against the very rugged Mighty Gorillas side who were at home on the very rough Nima Kawukodi Park. Mighty Gorillas won the game 2 ? 1 thanks to two goals by their very impressive striker Mahama Mohammed who had a good game.

Newly found attacker of the Impilo Ghana team Mahaf Rahim scored either side of the goals scored by his opposite number to cap a good day for him on his debut.

The performance of the team was described as impressive by team coach Harrison Clinton despite the defeat as they had engaged in a similar exercise less than 24 hours earlier.

On Saturday afternoon at the same venue, the Impilo Ghana team took on Greater Accra 2nd division side Nima FC in another friendly game which was a much more difficult assignment than they anticipated.

The performance was better than the one they put up against the Mighty Gorillas but their inability to win the game was largely due to the very rough tactics adopted by the home team and the ineffectiveness of the match referee who was an apology of an official.

Up to five new players were put on display by the Impilo Ghana team as they look to get the right balance ahead of the start of their league and their performance as well as that of the team was on the high despite the defeat.

Nima FC won the game 2 ? 1 thanks to goals scored by Sulemana Ismaila and Issaka Ishmael in each half as they look set to compete in the second round of the Greater Accra 2nd division league which starts this week.

Amidu Mahama scored the lone goal for his side on his debut to cap a good afternoon for him as he looks to command a regular position in the Impilo Ghana team that would compete in the Eastern regional 2nd division league which is expected to start soon.
