Indomie Junior Inter-Club Weightlifting competition for next month

The maiden edition of the Indomie Judo Inter Clubs Weight lifting has been scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the National Weight Lifting centre in Accra.

The one day event will be preceded by a float across the principal streets of Accra on April 15 ahead of the showdown at the National Weight Lifting Center.

The program is been supported by manufacturers of Indomie Nuddles and is expected to be patronized by sixteen different clubs across the country with the winner taking home cash Prizes and souvenirs from the title sponsors.

Title Sponsor of the event has agreed to partner the GWF for Youth and other developmental project with GHC20,000.00 cash and GHC10,000.00 worth of products.

The multi-age competition is expected to be annual event and will be competed by athletes within the ages of eight and seventeen for the podium finishes in each category.

DeUnited, importers of Indomie Nuddles and headline sponsors of the event, teamed up with the GWF to officially launch the program early January ahead of Next Month’s showdown in Accra.

The platform will also be used to form the Technical committee for the Ghana Weight Lifting Federation (GWF) from the competing athletes and their trainers.
