Injured Kwesi Appiah still struggling to return

Injured Ghana international Kwesi Appiah is still struggling to return to full scale training after picking up a career threatening injury last June while on international duty.

The Crystal Palace attacker emerged on Ghanaian football scene at the 2015 African Cup Of Nations where he scored a vital goals to aid the Black Stars reach the finals of the competition.

But the 25-year-old has been unable to kick a ball after damaging his ankle while training with the Black Stars in June 2015.

Reports had indicated he would return in February but a complication in recovery has meant the forward has had to wait a bit longer.

He only returned to field work last week and is expected to step up recovery in the coming days.
