In an exclusive interview with 90 MINUTES over the weekend, Platanias & Black Stars right-full back Samuel Inkoom says he’s not getting carried away with the interest in his services from England, France and Greece respectively. The 24-year-old defender, who is back to his natural best after been frozen out of Juande Ramos’ team for almost a year and a half at Ukrainian club Dnipro, says he is not paying heed to all those transfer rumours and speculations about his next move as he’s bent on doing well at his current club.

Inkoom exclusively told 90 MINUTES: “I am aware of the numerous [transfer] speculations, but I must confess that I am not getting carried away with all those stories. It feels good to know about the interest shown by other clubs, but at the moment the most important thing is to maintain the good momentum I have here (Platanias) and see what happens during the summer break.”

It was reported that Ligue 1 giants, Olympique Lyon’s scouts were spotted at the Karaiskakis Stadium when Platanias played as guests to Olympiakos a fortnight ago amidst their interest in signing the FIFA U-20 World Cup winner. Inkoom’s agent is of the view that his client is happy to be playing regularly again, but hinted that the Ghanaian ace could be on his way out this summer numerous clubs have all shown interest. "Samuel is enjoying his time at Platanias, he is playing regular football at a good club,” agent Christian Emile told Sky Sports.

"European clubs are already watching and monitoring his situation, as they know that after the World Cup he will only have six months remaining on his contract with Dnipro. So let’s wait and see what happens." Inkoom will play for Ghana at the World Cup and will talk to clubs after the tournament, with West Ham and Olympiakos credited with an interest in him. Lyon are also said to be keen on Inkoom, while Werder Bremen, who have tracked him in the past are said to be still interested in the former FC Basel man.
