Inter Allies CEO earns Oti Akenteng’s praise

CAF Technical Instructor and the Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Oti Akenteng has heaped praises on the management board of Inter Allies.

The experienced trainer commended the CEO of the Tema-based premier league side for taking proactive measures in the professional administration of the club.

Oti Akenteng attributed the ailing fortunes of the league’s traditional superpowers to the strong performances of the less endowed clubs and not poor quality players as preached in some circles.

Oti Akenteng told sports crusader; “Some of the younger clubs are organizing very well like the CEO of Inter Allies. They are looking forward to next season already, having sent representatives to scout for them at various tournaments. With a CEO like that of Inter Allies, why won’t the club go forward? He has already started planning for next year. He has plans for his club and this is a testimony as to why the smaller clubs are coming up so quickly. The bigger clubs should also not sit down from here; they should also try to widen the gap between themselves and the smaller clubs. The clubs should learn from Inter Allies.”

On the current competitive nature of the league, Oti Akenteng said, “The players are now evenly distributed. No club can sit down and be playing with names like we used to do. In the previous years, Hearts of Oak and Kotoko could buy any player they want, but this time, it is not like that. Hearts and Kotoko are not struggling, but the smaller clubs are developing faster. They need to also think further than they have been doing. They should try to maintain their one step ahead of the smaller clubs or try widening the gap.”

Accra Hearts of Oak were awarded boardroom points to galvanize their premier league campaign to the detriment of Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a season neither club will want to remember in the future. Less-endowed clubs like Wa All Stars, WAFA, Inter Allies and Medeama took the league by storm despite the meager resources at their disposal to splash.
