Former WBA welterweight champion Ike 'Bazooka' Quartey has stated unequivocally that Isaac 'The Royal Storm' Dogboe can rule the junior featherweight division for at least seven years based on his skill sets.

"For me, I want Dogboe to keep the title for a long time," Ike Quartey told Dorner's Corner - A popular Facebook boxing platform.

"With him at 23, I think he can keep the title for seven years because of the way he fights. He fights like he doesn't fear anyone," Ike Quartey who shot to fame on June 4, 1994, for stopping the then-undefeated champion - Crisanto Espana via a technical knockout [TKO] at the Palais des Sports Marcel-Cerdan, Levallois in France spoke about Dogboe's style of fight.

The 'peek-a-boo' defense specialist [Ike Quartey] predicted over a year ago that Isaac Dogboe was a world title prospect and was going to win the title for Ghana sooner than later.

"I said it over a year ago that he's the only prospect we have in Ghana now and he has made it," Quartey recounted. The former world champion accompanied Isaac Dogboe onto the podium to receive his plaque for winning the Sports Personality of the Year [2017] at the 43rd MTN SWAG Awards Nite ceremony.

Isaac Dogboe, now signed onto Bob Arum's Top Rank Promotions defeated Jessie Magdaleno on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia [Pennsylvania] to become the new WBO super bantamweight champion.

Isaac Dogboe [19-0, 12 KOs] has said that he is ready to defend his title against any opponent that will be thrown at him.

According to the checks of www.sports24ghana.com, The Royal Storm Dogboe is likely to defend his crown in August against a yet to be named opponent.
