Former Asante Kotoko winger Isaac Oppong
Former Asante Kotoko winger Isaac Oppong has found a new home after completing a move to Moldovan Superliga outfit CF Spartanii Sportul.
The 21-year-old left the Porcupine Warriors at the end of the 2023/24 football season, where Kotoko finished sixth in the Ghana Premier League standings.
Oppong was instrumental when Kotoko annexed the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title. In the just-ended season, he made 15 league appearances for the Porcupine Warriors, contributing two goals and two assists.
Now, Oppong is set for a foreign adventure, having secured a move to join the Chișinău-based club in Moldova. He reunites with former Kotoko Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah, who currently manages Spartanii Sportul. The astute football administrator facilitated the signing of the young talent.
Oppong is expected to play a significant role for Spartanii Sportul in the 2024/25 football season.
