Former Ghana international Jerry Akaminko is facing up to four weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
His club ?stanbulspor confirmed the news on their Facebook page on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old joined the second-tier side on a one year deal last season after terminating his contract with Eskisehispor.
So far, he has made six appearances for the club this season.
The former Heart of Lions captain was denied a chance of achieving his dream of playing at the World Cup as he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury prior to the 2014 tournament.
