Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has expressed delight in making a return from injury for Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy.
The Black Stars winger made a return to the team at the weekend and delivered an outstanding performance as his outfit secured a 4-2 win over Sporting Kansas City.
Paintsil has been out of action for weeks after picking up a muscle injury last month. He missed five games for LA Galaxy in the American top-flight.
Coming off the bench, Paintsil notched his fifth goal of the season, playing a pivotal role in Galaxy's thrilling victory.
However, the Ghanaian international has taken to social media to express his joy following his return from injury.
“I feel good. It's always good to come back and score especially at home. I thank the supporters for welcoming me. It's really an amazing moment” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The 26-year-old has been a standout performer since his arrival, amassing five goals and four assists in 13 games.
Paintsil missed the Black Stars 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Mali and the Central Africa Republic early this month due to an injury setback.
In his absence, the Black Stars defied all odds to beat Mali and the Central Africa Republic to end their winless run of the year.
