Ghanaian midfielder Fatawu Issahaku has disclosed that his Premier League journey is only just beginning as there is much more to come from him and Leicester City.
Fatawu Issahaku marked his debut with an assist in the Premier League for Leicester City in their 1-1 stalemate against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night, August 19, 2024.
The 20-year-old brilliantly whipped in a cross which Jamie Vardy headed in to cancel Pedro Porro’s early first-half goal for Spurs.
Speaking after the game to Leicester City's media, Fatawu declared that the Foxes have more to offer and will fight hard to stay in the Premier League.
“It’s just the beginning, and the work we are doing for the team is just starting. We are going to keep on giving it our all to stay here,” he stated.
The Ghanaian player credited coach Steve Cooper’s half-time talk as the motivation that inspired their comeback in the game.
“It was about the coach because in the second half he spoke to us in the dressing room on how to make it easier for ourselves, and we did it. That’s why we came into the game better. How he played gave us more confidence, and we know we can give more to improve,” the winger stated.
