Italy hand late call-up to Ghanaian defender Claud Adjapong

Italy U21 coach Alberico Evani has handed a late call up to Ghanaian defender Claud Adjapong.

The 19-year-old takes the place of AC Milan’s Davide Calabria who is ruled out with injury.

Adjapong, a right-back, plays for Sassuolo and has featured for Italy at various youth levels.

Italy play against Norway and Serbia on March 22 in Perugia and 27th respectively.

Adjapong is following the footsteps of Mario Balotelli who has a Ghanaian heritage but featured for the Azzurris
