Jordan Ayew may be the talk of Aston Villa supporters for all the wrong reasons this week - but the under-fire frontman has proven a hit at recent FA Cup opponents Wycombe Wanderers.

Villa's leading league goalscorer was reprimanded by manager Remi Garde and apologised to supporters after being sent off for elbowing Aaron Cresswell during their 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Tuesday night.

But Wycombe Wanderers defender Joe Jacobson was delighted to have lined up against the Ghanaian international during the two sides' recent FA Cup clash.

Jacobson, whose penalty earned Wycombe a 1-1 draw and a replay at Villa Park, swapped shirts with Ayew following the game and revealed he was made to pass it on to his Villa-mad brother.

"I don't normally go in for collecting shirts, but my brother is a huge Villa fan, so I grabbed Ciaran Clark's and Jordan Ayew's for him," he said.

"I'm not sure Jordan will be his favourite person after what happened this week, but I only have good memories of coming up against players like that.

"My brother was the first person to ring me when the draw was made, and he was at both games.

"There was no split loyalties though, he wanted me to win!"
