J E Sarpong hails Harrison Afful's qualities

Veteran Ghanaian coach J.E Sarpong has touted diminutive defender Harrison Afful for his qualities. Afful has defied all odds to make himself indispensable in the set up of the Black Stars despite his smallish stature.

The Former Feyernoord and Kotoko defender who can play in midfield was one of Ghana’s Stand out performers at the world cup in Brazil.

He has since continued his blistering form at both club and national level and Sarpong says Afful’s qualities deserve commendation.

“Afful has been consistent with the national team and i can say he deserves all the credit,”Sarpong told Ghanasoccernet.com.

“If you look at his stature and all that and the way he has made his himself important in the team,he has really done well.

“The seriousness with which he attaches to his game is wonderful and deserves all the play time he is getting at the national team.”
