Injured Kotoko midfielder Jackson Owusu has apologised to the club's supporters for his 'unprofessional' conduct, which has left him in crutches till the end of the season.

The combative midfielder suffered a horrible knee injury while playing in a "Sunday Special'' match in Kumasi.

Owusu has come under massive criticism for his unprofessional conduct which could potentially wreck his his career.

The former Berekum Chelsea enforcer is facing further punishment from the club after he broke camp rules by playing in the 'useless' match.

But he has issued a groveling apology to the club's supporters, who have been shell-shocked by his conduct.

“I want to tell them that I'm very sorry for what has happened,” he told Kumasi-based Fox FM.

“Am asking for forgiveness, I know is was unprofessional on my part but am sorry for what has happened.”

Coach David Duncan must start preparing for the start of the new season without one of his trusted charges.
