Ex-Ghana FA boss MND Jawula has warned twi-speaking journalists could be slapped with defamation lawsuit if the constant attack on the FA is not ceased.

The well-respected former football administrator believes twi-speaking journalists have contributed to the perceived decline of the local league.

The Ghana FA has come under constant attacks with some journalists from local radio stations leading the charge in branding the local league as poor.

Some well-known twi-speaking journalists have tagged the domestic league as 'ugly' with several unprintable words used on administrators on daily basis.

The naked verbal abuse suffered by current officials of the Ghana FA has angered the traditional ruler.

Former Ghana FA chief MND Jawula has warned twi-speaking journalists could face legal lawsuit if they continue with their naked insults of football administrators.

"What I think about speaking journalists and what they do and say is youthful exuberance," he told Accra-based Starr FM

"You take insult for insult. Some of them are the reason why we are where we are perceived to be.

"When the insults becomes too much, we should go to court to sanitize the system.

"The president of the FA is a lawyer and I'm sure he's looking at things."

Two years ago, Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi has filed a defamation and libel lawsuit against one of the country's media houses Asempa FM and two of its sports presenters for labelling him as a thief after 'years of consistent lies and negative campaigns' against him.

It's unclear the extent of the case which was hugely publicized.
