Fans of Asante Kotoko were left furious after their team succumbed to a shocking 2-1 defeat to lower tier-side Asokwa Deportivo in the MTN FA Cup round of 64 at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The defeat which comes on the back of the loss to Aduana Stars incensed the supporters, some of who decided to attack their players for losing back to back games.
David Cudjoe's brace secured the three points for Deportivo after the Porcupines took the lead in the first half of the game through Richard Arthur.
Though Asante Kotoko piled a bit of pressure on the lower division side for the remainder of the match, they could not break down their defense, forcing the defending champions to succumb to a shocking 2-1 defeat at the round of 64 stages of the MTN FA Cup.
In a video circulating on twitter, a section of the Kotoko fans were seen booing their players and calling them all sorts of names as the team prepared to journey back to the regional capital Kumasi.
