Black Queens midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe has completed a move to Women’s Premier Soccer League side Sky Blue FC ahead of the inaugural 2020 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) ChallengeCup.

Cudjoe signed for the NWSL side from USL League club Asheville, where she was named in the club’s team of the decade.

She was selected to join the club after impressing the technical team during a short trial with the club.

The talented midfielder is the first and only Ghanaian player to go through college and play professional in National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Having won the 2015 SWAG Female footballer of the Year, Cudjoe was named in the WPSL All Star Team on three occasions and clinched the NJCAA Player of the Year 2014.

She’s also the second Ghanaian player to play in the NWSL after Black Queens Skipper Elizabeth Addo who played for Seattle Reign in 2018.

The 25-game tournament will kick off on June 27, 2020 at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah.

Sky Blue will begin the tournament against OL Reign at 10:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 30, at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah.
