Former Black Stars defender Joe Addo has attributed the Black Stars recent poor performance to the commission of inquiry for the current impasse between the team and Ghanaian.

The retired Ghana international opined that Ghanaians rejected the Black stars from the very day the commission of inquiry was launched to expose their expenditure in Brazil.

Joe Addo believed that the creation of the 2014 commission of inquiry by the government exposed the extravagant expenditure enjoyed by some officials of the Black Stars and took the passion away from Ghanaians. The imposing defensive stalwart dubbed the post-mortem review of the Brazil fracas as the genesis of the Black Stars problem.

“The problems of the Black Stars started the very day the commission of inquiry was commissioned to look into what happened in Brazil.

“The COI exposed a lot of expenditure within the Black Stars and some Ghanaians felt cheated and has since left the team.

“The creation of the commission of inquiry was unnecessary as the team is still suffering from the long-term effect of been rejected by the citizens “, Joe Addo said on GH ONE Soccer Chat.

The Black Stars and it’s officials were brought under the spot after their acrimonious exit from the 2014 FIFA world cup that saw two players banned and several other officials impeached.

Avram Grant has been bundled out of the ongoing Nations cup in Gabon thanks to a pair of second-half goals from the Indomitable Lions.
