Joe Dodoo handed new Leicester deal

Ghana-pursuit Joe Dodoo has been handed a new contract by English Premier League champions Leicester City.

The Leicester Mercury has reported the striker been rewarded after bursting onto the first-team scene this season.

Dodoo joined Leicester at the age of 11 before progressing through the Academy.

He was born in Kumasi but sent to Nottingham, England when he was only eight years old.

Dodoo has already featured for England’s Under-18 but trained with Ghana’s national team last week in the build up to a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius.

The 20-year-old is keen on playing for the Black Stars as a senior international.
