JoeTex to join Al-Nasr club

Cairo, Egypt, 02/02 - Al-Nasr football club of Saudi Arabia has announced taking on Ghanaian international Joetex Frimpong for five months, with a takeover option.

According to Saudi media reports, the five months deal was concluded at 220,000 US dollars, with Al-Nasr having to pay 1.2 million dollars to Nigerian club side and two-time African champions Enyimba, to fully own Frimpong.

The Ghana `Black Stars` striker is to travel to Riyadh shortly to undergo his medical and sign the contract, the reports said.

As Enyimba`s striker, Frimpong was named top scorer of the African Champions League in 2005, and is a member of the Ghanaian selection which took part to the African Cup of Nations now underway in Egypt.

After Ghana`s elimination in the first round, Frimpong will be able to fly quickly to Saudi Arabia to join his new team.
