Johnson Smith to take charge of President Cup match against Hearts

Asante Kotoko assistant coach Johnson Smith will take charge of the side President Cup on Sunday against Hearts of Oak, footballmadeinghana.com can confirm.

The arch-rivals will face off on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium for the replay of the game which was postponed due to heavy rainfall.

Newly-appointed coach Maxwell Konadu will not be on the bench on the day as he has been allowed some time to rest.

Konadu has been given time to prepare before he officially take over the side on Monday.

Smith, a former player of the club and also with vast experience in the local league will be in charge of the club for the game on Sunday.

He has been taking charge of the first team as the club struggled to appoint a head coach.
