Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah has called on all football loving Ghanaians especially the Ghana Football Association to do all they can to ensure that the team gets a smooth preparation to the 2015 AFCON.
The Black Stars joined 15 other African countries to qualify for the Nations Cup last Wednesday, as they beat the Hawks of Togo 3-1 at the Tamale stadium.
The last time the Black Stars won the Nations Cup was far back in 1982 and Jonathan believes that they need to break that drought.
“For us the players we want to make history by making sure that we lift a trophy for Ghana in a major tournament.”
“Thankfully we have another chance in Equatorial Guinea and we are asking all Ghanaians and the GFA to make sure that we get a smooth preparation ahead of the tournament, because I personally believe that we have enough quality to win the trophy,” Jonathan Mensah mentioned in an interview with sportscrusader.com.
