Jordan Ayew is hopeful the Black Stars will edge past Rwanda in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.
Ayew scored the match winner for his native country as they edged Congo in a 3-2 thriller, thundering in a shot from the left after cutting inside and keeping his balance following a challenge.
The international friendly win has boosted team confidence in the team ahead of the trip to Kigali on Saturday and the Aston Villa new recruit is hopeful his native Ghana will bag maximum points.
“Today’s camp was a good game and we are happy to win. We hope we record a good result in Rwanda too,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM
“It is an important game for us because it is a qualifier. We will do our best to win the game.”
The West Africans are sitting firmly at the top of group H after a resounding 7-1 win over Mauritius in their opening qualifier back home two months ago.
